Students learn and practice the skill of effective debating.  Debate is strongly associated with academic achievement and involves formal training in public speaking, logic and extensive research and, of course, fun!

Feed My Read Book Club

Students audition for this exciting musical opportunity.  Open to current band members in 6^th, 7^th and 8^th grade.  Interested students must sign up and audition to participate.  Instruments involved include the saxophone, trumpet, trombone, guitar, bass guitar, piano and drums.

Junior Beta

Literary Arts Magazine

Students edit theirs, as well as other students’ work in poetry, short stories, and illustration.  A magazine will be created and published for the school.  Students are chosen in the spring to participate in yearbook / literary arts class.  Invitation only.   All students are invited to submit entries.

Students provide positive reinforcement to student athletics, activities and help enhance school pride. Whether you're an athlete, cheerleader, a band member or a sports fan, you are encouraged to participate in being proud of our teams, our school and the students that attend there; past, present and future through various activities.

Students assist with special events held at RTMS.  In their leadership role, students support the school and take pride in the spirit of the student body.  Open to 8^th grade students each spring (7^th grade). Must submit an application.

Technology Club

Students will help design school web pages using FrontPage, Dream Weaver and Fireworks.  Students will also do a small amount of video editing in Microsoft Movie Maker.  Technology Club will begin in January; please listen for announcements on WWPK.

Students are selected through their exceptional academic performance and provided with information regarding innovative programs offered to help support the development of their optimal potential.  Open to students meeting program entrance qualifications.  Letters are sent to eligible students in September.
