Howling Times
Newspaper (Ms. Vizethann)
All 8th grade and 7th grade Howling Times Staff meet in Mrs. Vizethann's room
right before homeroom on Tuesday morning to sell newspapers.
Chess Club (Mr.
Gosnell)
The Chess Club will
meet after school Tuesday in my room in Mr. Gosnell’s room. Remember, you must
be picked up by a parent since there is no sweep bus. So, come enjoy the
challenge and remember to get your parents to pick you up.
Academic Bowl (Mr.
Cortsley)
Attention academic bowl! On Monday, Dec. 1st we will be holding our
first club wide on-line tournament. All members are asked to attend that
Monday’s afternoon practice so that you can participate in the tournament.
Again, all academic bowl members are invited to attend the Monday club meeting
when you get back from Thanksgiving break to participate in a club wide on-line
tournament. Good Luck!
Sweep Bus (Ms.
Melin)
There will not be a sweep bus on Monday, November 24th or Tuesday, November 25th.
RTMS Technology
Competition (Ms. DeYoung)
If you like working on computers or building GIANT ROBOTS! then you should
participate in the River Trail Technology competition on December 9th 2008!
Registration forms are available in the front office, and all registrations are
due by December 1st.
Jr. Beta (Ms.
Hansen)
Thank you Jr. Betas for your outstanding efforts at the State Convention in
Macon, GA last Thursday and Friday. We would like to recognize the following
students for the awards they received. Many of these students have qualified to
participate at the National Jr. Beta Convention in Orlando, FL next summer.
In Arts and Crafts:
Arshiya Lal- First place in painting with oil/acrylic
Sophia Chen- First place in painting with watercolor
Athena Tang- Second place in sketching with pen/pencil
Arah Kang- Fourth place in sketching with charcoal
Rachel Walsh- Fourth place in sculpture

Kunal Potnis- Fourth place in English

category)

There are no Intramural/Extramural activities.
