Withdrawal Procedures

 

A student is withdrawn when:

A Withdrawal Form is fully completed and signed by parents and school officials

All books and materials belonging to RTMS are returned and any outstanding fees are paid   

  1. Only parents, legal guardians or school administrator may withdraw a student.
  2. Notify Counseling Secretary of plans to withdraw your student from school.
  3. Parent/guardian must come to the school to sign the withdrawal form.
  4. The student completes the withdrawal process on his/her last full day of school.
  5. On the last day of classes, the student will circulate the withdrawal form to teachers and media specialist.
  6. At the end of the day, student will return the form and all unreturned books to the counseling secretary for final check out.
  7. Upon proper departure, student receives:

Parent withdrawing child to home school must contact student records at 770-763-6899.

NOTE: No educational records will be released to the parent or student until all financial obligations are cleared and all school property has been returned.

   

 Student’s last day:

The student goes to the front office and tells them it is his/her last day.

The student will be given the withdrawal form to take to each class to:

o Ask each teacher to fill in their grade

o Return all books to each teacher

o Go to the Media Center and ask them to sign off that all books are returned and all fines have been paid

o Clean out hall locker

o Clean out PE locker

RETURN FORM TO COUNSELING SECRETARY AS SOON AS THE FORM IS COMPLETE -- 3:00 P.M. AT THE LATEST.
